Our PTA is made up of hard-working parents and caregivers who volunteer their time and pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Feel free to ask them if you have questions.

22-23 Project

We want your ideas for our next project. How would you like to spend the PTA funds? What improvements would you like to see? What does PBE Need? Ask your child. We are looking for ideas and for ways to involve more students, families and community members in this process. Let us know here: https://forms.gle/QYwnYnmPHKAtZVLZ7

School of Excellence

The Prettyboy Elementary PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel PBE and PBE PTA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together..

We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence.

Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete our survey.

or print and complete a paper survey to return to the front office

Responses are due by October 15th!

Your PTA and school administrators are making a year-long commitment in identifying and implementing an action plan for school improvement based on PTA's National Standards for Family-School Partnerships

Schools that exhibit improvement are honored as National PTA Schools of Excellence, a distinction that spans two years. Honorees receive celebration tools well as automatic consideration for the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Award of $2,000 for their schools. After two years, schools are able and encouraged to renew their designation.

We hope to earn the National PTA School of Excellence banner to hang prominently at our school to tell families right away—you are welcome here and important to our students’ success!

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration as we work toward becoming a National PTA School of Excellence!

Reflections Program

National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. In response to this theme, students create works of art in one or all the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
